CC&R

CC&R is an abbreviation for Codes, Covenants & Restrictions, which is a central governing document (along with the Bylaws) of a condominium or other common interest subdivision. CC&R's are, as it were, "the laws of the village". The Homeowner's Association of a condominium development is governed by and administers the CC&R's & Bylaws, and can--within limits--vote changes to them. Sometimes cities will require certain provisions to be included in CC&R's. In Oakland, they would include some reference to any Notices of Limitation filed with the building permit.
