F-8 Occupancy F-8 is the occupancy designation which the Oakland Live/Work Building Code has assigned to Commercial /Industrially oriented live/work space–or work/live space-- in new buildings. While F-8 is not yet permitted under the city's zoning regulations, it is likely that in selected areas it will be permitted in the future.
